Ibiza Sirenis Seaview Country Club: Things to Do Nearby

Island · Balearic Islands · Spain

If you are booked into the Ibiza Sirenis Seaview Country Club, or simply weighing up the island for a summer fortnight, the honest answer to what fills the days is the coastline. Most of the island's best-known spots are beaches and coves, spread across Sant Antoni de Portmany in the west, Santa Eulària des Riu and Sant Carles de Peralta in the east, and Es Cubells in the south-west. Add the S'Argamassa Roman Fish Farm for a change of pace. Nothing is far: Ibiza airport, with direct flights from the UK, sits 8 to 16 minutes by road from the main towns.

Resorts and towns in Ibiza

Ranked by what there is to see and book. Each has its own page.

What is worth seeing first

Ask anyone for things to do in Ibiza and the conversation turns quickly to the sea. Of all the Ibiza tourist attractions, the ones people search for and talk about most are its coves: Cala Salada near Sant Antoni, Platja des Niu Blau and Cala Llonga on the Santa Eulària side, and the bay of Cala Vadella in the south-west. If you want one beautiful beach in Ibiza to build a day around, any of these makes a good start.

The one sight that is not a beach is the S'Argamassa Roman Fish Farm, an ancient Roman site near Santa Eulària des Riu. It is a modest stop rather than a full day out, but it gives a beach holiday a little depth and pairs naturally with a swim at nearby Cala Pada or Cala Martina.

Beaches and sights by area

Sant Antoni de Portmany, the San Antonio of most package brochures, looks west. Its coves are Cala Salada, Cala Bassa and Cala Comte, and they are what most people mean by good beaches in Ibiza for sunset-facing afternoons. The town is about 12 minutes from the airport, which makes it an easy base.

Santa Eulària des Riu, or Santa Eulalia, has the densest cluster of Ibiza attractions on the east coast: Cala Llonga, Platja des Niu Blau, Cala Pada, Cala Martina and the Roman fish farm at S'Argamassa. Just north, the Sant Carles de Peralta area takes in Es Canar, Platja de Nova, Platja Pou d'es Lleó and Cala de Sant Vicent, so a car opens up a whole stretch of things to visit in Ibiza within short hops.

In the south-west, Es Cubells and Sant Josep de sa Talaia cover Cala Vadella, Sa Caleta, Cala d'Hort and Platja des Jondal. Both are around 8 minutes from the airport. Ibiza Town, the island's city, is the natural base for those who want streets and harbour life alongside the beaches.

Days out with children

For families, the short distances are the real advantage. With Santa Eulària 16 minutes and Sant Antoni 12 minutes from the airport, tired children are not facing a long transfer, and the east-coast run of Cala Llonga, Cala Pada and Es Canar keeps several beaches within easy reach of one base. The S'Argamassa Roman Fish Farm makes a short, low-effort outing for curious older children.

Mind the heat. Sant Antoni averages 32°C in July and 31°C in August, so mornings and late afternoons suit little ones best. June, at around 28°C with little rain, and early October at about 25°C are gentler months for a family fortnight.

Booking tours, tickets and transport

You can compare tours and tickets on this page, alongside car hire, which is the simplest way to tick off coves in different corners of the island in one week. Hotel prices and package deals from Jet2holidays, TUI, loveholidays and On the Beach are shown here too, combining the direct flight into Ibiza, your hotel and the transfer.

The best months in the data are April, June, August and October. April brings around 21°C and only three rain days, ideal for walking to quieter coves; September is warm at 27°C but sees more rain days. School-holiday weeks are always the most in demand, so book those early. Ibiza also has a ferry port, with Dénia about 62 miles away on the mainland and Palma about 68 miles away.
