Ibiza Holidays All Inclusive: Resorts, Weather and Tips
Island · Balearic Islands · Spain
Ibiza holidays all inclusive suit British travellers who want the sea, the sun and the bill settled before they leave home. The island is compact. Ibiza airport, with direct flights from the United Kingdom, sits 12 minutes by road from Sant Antoni de Portmany and 16 minutes from Santa Eulària des Riu, so the transfer is over almost before the holiday has begun. Each of the main bases has a different feel. San Antonio, the island's busiest resort, faces sunsets in the west. Santa Eulalia, on the east coast, is calmer. Ibiza Town is the island's historic capital. Between them, a run of coves stretches from Cala Salada to Cala Llonga. Below, I set out what all inclusive tends to cover, which areas to look at and when to travel.

What all inclusive usually covers
On an all-inclusive board basis, your meals are covered. In most cases that means buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus snacks between meals and local drinks, both alcoholic and soft, served during set bar hours. Premium spirits, branded drinks and à la carte restaurants are often charged as extras, and the details differ from one hotel to the next. Read the board description on each deal before you commit.
All inclusive makes the most sense on a family fortnight or a break where you plan to stay close to the pool and beach. If you would rather spend most days touring the coves or eating out in Ibiza Town, half board may suit you better. You can compare the different Ibiza all inclusive hotels and board options side by side on this page.
Which resort suits you
The larger resort-style hotels are concentrated in the two biggest coastal municipalities. Sant Antoni de Portmany, which British travellers know as San Antonio, is the most searched resort on the island and has the most sights listed around it. Cala Salada, Cala Bassa and Cala Comte are all nearby, and it is a natural first choice when you are shortlisting Ibiza all inclusive resorts.
Santa Eulària des Riu, or Santa Eulalia, is the largest municipality by population and covers a string of family-friendly bays: Cala Llonga, Cala Pada, Cala Martina and Platja des Niu Blau. Further up the same coast lies Es Canar, a beach settlement that comes up often in searches for all-inclusive hotels in Es Cana. Sant Carles de Peralta is nearby, with Platja de Nova and Cala de Sant Vicent.
For something quieter, the south-west around Es Cubells and Sant Josep de sa Talaia faces Cala Vadella, Sa Caleta and Cala d'Hort. It is a good area for slower days and dramatic views. Whichever area you pick, the sweep of all inclusive resorts across Ibiza, Spain, is short enough to explore by car hire, which you can also compare here.

When to go for sunshine
Ibiza's season builds steadily. April averages highs of 21°C with only three rain days. By June it reaches 28°C, and July peaks at 32°C, with one rain day and 4mm of rain in Sant Antoni. August stays hot at 31°C, though it brings a few more showers.
September holds at 27°C but is the wettest month, with nine rain days. October still averages 25°C, which makes it one of the best months alongside April, June and August. Winter highs settle around 16°C, too cool for a pool-based all-inclusive stay. For heat without the peak-summer school-holiday crowds, June and October are the months to look at.
Booking your all-inclusive package
A package holiday bundles the flight into Ibiza airport, the hotel and the transfer, so nothing needs arranging on arrival. The transfers are among the shortest in Spain: about 8 minutes to Sant Josep de sa Talaia or Es Cubells, 12 to Sant Antoni and 16 to Santa Eulària. That is welcome news after an early flight with children.
This page shows live deals from Jet2holidays, TUI holidays, loveholidays and On the Beach, so you can set a TUI Ibiza all inclusive offer against the others before you choose. When you are looking at family hotels, check for a kids' club and confirm which drinks are included. If you want an adults-only stay, read each hotel's description carefully, as policies vary. Prices rise in the school holidays, so a June or October date can be the gentler option if your diary allows it.
