Go Spain Holidays

Privacy and cookies

This policy explains what Go Spain Holidays (gospainholidays.co.uk) collects when you use the site, and why. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

What we collect

  • Server logs. Like every website, our servers record the pages requested, the time, and a truncated form of your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
  • Outbound clicks. When you click a booking link we record which page the click came from, which partner it went to, the time, and an irreversible hash of your browser signature. We use this to understand which pages are useful. It does not identify you.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message for as long as needed to reply and deal with it.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not run behavioural advertising. The site may set strictly necessary cookies needed for it to work. Embedded maps are served by OpenStreetMap, whose own privacy policy applies. When you follow a link to a partner site, that partner sets its own cookies under its own policy; this is how they attribute a booking to us.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. In practice we hold almost none. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@gospainholidays.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We will update this page if what we collect changes. The date of the last change is shown in the page source.
