Lanzarote Holidays All Inclusive: Resorts, Weather and Tips
Island · Canary Islands · Spain
Lanzarote holidays all inclusive make a lot of sense on an island where the airport is only minutes from the main resorts and the weather barely asks you to plan. Lanzarote airport (ACE) has direct flights from the UK, and Puerto del Carmen is about six minutes' drive away, so your first poolside drink can come soon after landing. Daytime highs run from around 21°C in January to 29°C in August, with almost no rain. Below, I look at what all inclusive usually covers, which resorts suit a larger resort-style stay, when to go and how to book, and you can compare live package deals on this page.

- Timanfaya National Park, near El Golfo, makes an easy day away from the buffet.

What all inclusive usually covers
On Lanzarote, as elsewhere in the Canaries, an all-inclusive board basis generally means breakfast, lunch and dinner, usually buffet-style with some themed nights, plus snacks between meals and local drinks such as beer, wine, soft drinks and spirits poured from the house range. Premium brands, bottled wine from the list and à la carte restaurants are often charged extra, so read the board description before you book.
The real value depends on how you holiday. If you plan to spend most days by the pool with children, all inclusive keeps spending predictable. If you want to eat out in Arrecife or tour the island every day, half board may suit you better. The deals shown here state the board basis clearly, so you can compare like with like.
Which resort suits you
Puerto del Carmen is the largest and most popular resort, with around 30,000 residents and the long sandy stretch of Playa de los Pocillos. It is where you find the widest choice of big resort-style hotels, and families have Rancho Texas Park on the doorstep. Neighbouring Tías adds Playa de Matagorda, a quieter base still very close to the airport.
Costa Teguise, smaller at around 7,600 residents, has Playa del Jablillo and Playa de los Charcos, and is home to the Royal Residence of La Mareta, a residence of the Spanish royal family. It suits those who want resort facilities with a calmer feel. Playa Blanca is the third big name among British travellers and has its own ferry port, worth knowing if you fancy a hop across the water.
Arrecife is the island's capital rather than a resort, but it is close by for Castillo de San José and the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo.

When to book your week
Every month works. Highs sit around 21°C from December to February, climbing to 25°C by April and peaking at 29°C in August, with October still reaching about 28°C. Rain is rare: even the wettest months, February and March, see only four or five rainy days.
That makes Lanzarote one of the most reliable winter-sun choices from the UK. School holidays, especially summer, half-terms and Christmas, are when demand and prices rise, so booking early pays off if you are tied to term dates.
Booking your package
All inclusive package holidays to Lanzarote bundle your flight, hotel and transfers, which is how most British travellers book the island. Transfers are pleasingly short: Arrecife is about five minutes from the airport, Tías four and Puerto del Carmen six, so even a shared coach doing several drop-offs should not eat into your day.
Families should check pool and kids' club details, room configurations and whether snacks and soft drinks run all day. If you want a day out, Timanfaya National Park, Jardín de Cactus at Guatiza and the Fundación César Manrique at Nazaret are all within easy reach, and you can compare car hire, tours and tickets here. Is Lanzarote warm enough for an all-inclusive winter holiday?
Yes. Daytime highs are around 21°C in January and February and 22°C in December, with very little rain, typically one to four rainy days a month. It is a dependable winter-sun choice from the UK.
