Costa Brava All Inclusive Holidays: Resorts, Weather and Tips
Coast · Spain
A Costa Brava all inclusive holiday suits anyone who wants the Catalan coast without counting every café bill. This stretch of north-east Spain runs from Blanes and Lloret de Mar up past Tossa de Mar, Palamós and Begur to Roses and Cadaqués, and the transfer from Girona airport to the southern resorts takes barely 20 minutes. July and August bring highs of 29°C, with July the driest month of the year. Below, I explain what an all-inclusive board usually covers, which towns are best suited to larger resort-style hotels, when to travel and how to book well. You can compare live deals from Jet2holidays, TUI, loveholidays and On the Beach on this page.

What all inclusive usually covers
On most all inclusive holidays to the Costa Brava, Spain, your board covers breakfast, lunch and dinner, usually served as buffets with some à la carte options, plus snacks between meals and locally produced drinks: house wine, local beer, soft drinks and spirits poured at the hotel bars. Branded imports, premium wines and some specialty restaurants are often charged extra, so read the board description of each offer before you book.
The real value here is freedom with children or a group. Long, hot afternoons in July and August mean plenty of cold drinks and ice creams, and having those included takes the arithmetic out of the day. It also leaves room to eat out now and then in Tossa de Mar or Palamós without feeling you have wasted a paid meal, as long as you plan those evenings sensibly.
Which resorts suit a big hotel
The Costa Brava all inclusive resorts cluster mostly in the larger southern towns. Lloret de Mar, with around 37,000 residents and by far the most searched name on this coast, is where you would expect the bigger resort-style hotels with pools and entertainment. Neighbouring Blanes, the most populous town on the list at around 40,000, offers a similar scale, with the Castell de Sant Joan above the town. Calella, further south, is another established beach resort that draws British holidaymakers.
Further north, Roses is a sizeable town of about 19,000 with plenty of history close by: the Castell de la Trinitat, the Santa Maria de Roses monastery and the Dolmen de la Creu d'en Cobertella. Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós, home to La Fosca beach and the Museu de la Pesca, sit between the two in size and feel.
If you prefer something smaller, Tossa de Mar, with its walled Vila Vella, and the villages of Begur, Pals, Calella de Palafrugell and Cadaqués are lovely to explore but far less likely to have large all inclusive hotels. Many travellers stay in Lloret and visit them for the day.

When to go for sunshine
July and August are the peak months, both averaging 29°C highs and 21°C lows at Lloret de Mar. July is the more reliable of the two, with around three rain days and 17mm of rain, while August sees about seven rain days, often in short bursts.
June and September are good shoulder choices at around 25°C, though September turns wetter, with about ten rain days. May reaches 21°C but is surprisingly showery, and October still manages 23°C with more frequent rain. Winter highs sit at 14 to 15°C, pleasant for sightseeing in Girona but not for a beach holiday built around the pool.
Booking your package from the UK
Most British travellers book hotels in Costa Brava, Spain all inclusive as a package, with flights, hotel and transfers together. Girona has direct flights from the UK and is the closest airport by far: 21 minutes to Lloret de Mar, 22 to Tossa de Mar and 23 to Blanes or Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Barcelona also has direct UK flights but adds time, roughly 64 minutes to Blanes, 69 to Lloret and 75 to Tossa, so with tired children Girona is worth the search.
Check the board basis carefully, since some deals labelled all inclusive limit bar hours or exclude certain drinks. Families should note that school holiday weeks in July and August are the busiest and usually the most expensive; if you are looking for cheap all inclusive holidays on the Costa Brava, June or early September is often the more flexible window. You can compare all inclusive hotels in Costa Brava, Spain from Jet2holidays, TUI, loveholidays and On the Beach right here, alongside car hire and tours for days out.
