Alcudia Majorca Weather: Month by Month Guide for Holidays

Resort · Balearic Islands · Mallorca · Spain

Alcudia Majorca weather follows a clear Mediterranean rhythm. Winters are mild, with daytime highs of around 16°C and nights near 8°C. Summers are hot and dry, reaching 32°C in July with barely any rain. Between the two sit long, gentle seasons, with highs in the low to mid twenties, that suit walking among the Roman ruins of Pollentia or along the old city walls. For British travellers the resort is easy to reach. Direct flights from the UK land at Palma de Mallorca, and the transfer takes about 41 minutes. That makes it practical for a week in the sun or a fortnight on a package. The live forecast above covers the next few days. The month-by-month pattern below will help you decide when to book.

What the climate is like

Alcúdia has a classic north Mallorcan year. Summers are long and hot, winters are short and mild, and rain arrives in short bursts rather than long grey spells. The warmest months are July and August, with highs of 32°C and 31°C and nights that stay around 23°C. The coolest are January and February, when days reach about 16°C and nights fall to around 8°C. December is only slightly warmer, at 17°C.

Rain is spread fairly evenly outside high summer, but the totals vary. February is the wettest month by volume, at around 95 mm. May has the most wet days, typically 12, though each shower tends to be light. July is almost completely dry, with just 5 mm over a couple of days. If you check the Alcudia Mallorca weather alongside a quick BBC weather Majorca Alcúdia forecast before you fly, this pattern explains what the numbers mean.

Month by month through the year

January and February are quiet and mild. Expect highs of around 16°C and between seven and nine wet days, with February bringing the heaviest rain of the year. March brightens quickly to 19°C and is one of the driest months, with about five wet days. April is one of the best months to go: days reach 21°C and nights sit near 12°C, which is comfortable for walking up to Puig de Sant Martí or around Pollentia. May warms to 23°C but has the most showery days of the year. June reaches 28°C, and the summer heat begins in earnest.

July and August are peak beach season, with highs of 31°C to 32°C and warm nights. This is when the Hidropark water park and Sa Farradura beach are at their best. These months also fall in the UK school holidays, so package prices tend to rise; compare the Jet2holidays, TUI, loveholidays and On the Beach deals shown on this page. September eases to 27°C, though it has around ten wet days. October holds a pleasant 25°C, and November, another of the best months, still offers 21°C days. December rounds off the year at 17°C, with about six wet days.

What to pack by season

For June to September, pack light cotton clothes, a sun hat, high-factor sun cream and something modest for visiting the old town within the walls. A thin layer is worth bringing for evenings, but nights in July and August stay around 23°C, so you will rarely need it.

In spring and autumn, days are warm but evenings cool to between 12°C and 19°C. Bring layers, comfortable walking shoes for the ruins and the hill paths, and a light waterproof, especially in May and September when showers are most frequent. From December to February, add a proper jumper and a jacket for nights around 8°C, plus an umbrella. If you plan to explore further afield in the cooler months, you can compare car hire here as well.

What to pack for Alcúdia in October

  • T-shirts by day and a light layer for the evening: October averages 25°C by day and 18°C at night.
  • A light rain jacket: about 9 rainy days in October.
