Top sights in Pineda de Mar
Beaches, Castle and Roman Aqueduct
The most notable sights lie on the edge of town. The Castell de Montpalau, a castle listed as cultural property, stands about 1.4 miles from the centre, while the Aqüeducte de Pineda, a Roman aqueduct running between Pineda de Mar and Tordera and protected as a Cultural Asset of National Interest, is around 1.1 miles away. Close by, at about 1.2 miles, is the Pont del Diable, a bridge that makes a natural pairing with the aqueduct on the same outing.
For most visitors, though, the shoreline is the point. Platja de Pineda and Playa dels Pescadors are each about half a mile from the centre, the wider stretch known as Platges de Pineda de Mar begins at a similar distance, and Platja dels Pins (0.6 miles) and Platja de La Riera (0.7 miles) complete the run. All suit families.
