Adeje itself stands at around 284 metres, set back and above the shoreline, so staying in the town puts you close to Barranco del Infierno and gives a more residential feel. The beaches at Playa Las Galgas and Playa de Ajabo are a short drive downhill, and Playa de las Américas, about 4 miles away, is the obvious choice if you would rather wake up by the sea in a larger resort setting.
